Refusal
49th State Kennels reserves the right to refuse anyone for any reason. Reasons for refusal may include but are not limited to:

- Behavior: Customers who are verbally abusive, intoxicated, or creating a scene.
- Safety: Patrons whose hygiene is inadequate or who pose a direct safety threat.
- Policy Violations: Breaching established, legally compliant rules like dress codes (e.g., “no shoes, no shirt”).
- Closed Hours: Demanding service after the business is closed.
Payment
Payment is expected at time of purchase. Your order will not be started until your payment clears.
Shipping
All our domestic orders ship USPS first class with tracking. All international orders will be shipped USPS first class mail and may not include a guaranteed delivery date. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages. Insurance claims will not be covered if you enter the wrong address, please double check your address at checkout.
International Buyers
In accordance with the law, all international orders will have the full value declared on customs forms. Please be aware of your countries import duties, fees, VAT taxes, and other charges, as some of these can be costly. These fees are not included in the price of the item(s) or the shipping cost(s) and are the customer’s responsibility. 49th State Kennels cannot be held responsible for these charges, and we will not refund you if you refuse to pay these fees. If an order is returned to us and you do not wish it to be reshipped, you will still be charged for the shipping fees associated with your purchase.
Refunds
Due to all our dog gear being made to order, we do not offer refunds. All sales are final.
Exchanges
If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you have 7 days from receiving the item to contact us. You may contact us via email info@49thstatekennels.com and let us know your concerns. If your item(s) does not fit, you may exchange them for a difference size. Unfortunately, custom made fancy collars do not qualify for exchanges. Please make sure all sizing is correct prior to placing an order. Please contact us if you have questions with sizing and/or need help with sizing. We do not cover the cost of return shipping nor refund original shipping costs for any exchange. Any items that are returned that are not in NEW condition and able to be resold may incur additional fees.
**Please note, all custom orders are non-refundable or exchangeable. If a product malfunctions such as a broken piece that makes the item unusable, please contact us to discuss a replacement. **
Please be aware that all items are handmade and each may have slight imperfections and variations that add to the uniqueness of each item.
Fancy Collar Design
If you’d like to 49th State Kennels to design a fancy collar for you, please reach out to via email info@49thstatekennels.com to set up an appointment time to go over all the details you’d love to see come to life on your dog gear. There will be a $25 charge for the appointment, but it is applied to your invoice. We will go over all detail limited not included to – size, length, width, color(s), design itself, type of embellishments, any Swarovski crystal being used, and/or hardware choice. All details of design will be noted on invoice. Payment is expected at time of purchase. Your order will not be started until your payment clears.
Discount Policy
We offer many discounts/sales throughout the year – Store anniversary sale, PFD sale, holiday sales, etc. The discount/sale are for new purchases ONLY. We do not offer a price match for previous purchases before a sale. We are not responsible for any shipping charges.
Gift Cards
49th State Kennels offer two types of gift cars. Our website offers eGift cards that can only be used on our website and only for our handmade dog gear. Unfortunately, our eGift cards (electronic) cannot be used in our physical store due to a different payment system. If you’d like to purchase a gift card that can be used at our physical store location, please contact us via email info@49thstatekennels.com or 907-745-3646 (DOGS). You can always come into our physically store to purchase a physical gift card as well.
Disclaimer
Liability
49th State Kennels is not to be held liable for any damages, including but not limited to; defect in material or workmanship, misuse or improper use of products, accident or death regardless of the cause, negligent or faulty design. Any performance specifications are believed to be true but are not verified. The consumer shall not rely on any data and performance provided by 49th State Kennels. It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine the suitability of any products, to test and verify before use.
The consumer hereby waives all liability claims against 49th State Kennels.
Terms & Conditions
All designs, logos, names, content, pictures, and any other elements present on this website belong to 49th State Kennels.
We try our very hardest to make sure all content on our site is up to date and accurate, in the case that we need to change something we reserve the right to do so without notification. If some unforeseen circumstance occurs, we also reserve the right to cancel orders where necessary until we can fix the problem.

DOG GEAR DISCLAIMER
Our dog is designed to be pet quality meaning everyday pet use such as walking your dog, grabbing your dog by the collar when needed, etc. Our handmade fancy collars are intended for decorative and functional use with your pets. Our collars are not intended for use with tie-outs and should be removed when pets are left unattended.
If you need specific dog gear made for a specific type of work with your dog, please reach out to us via email info@49thstatekennes or come into the store front with the details.
We are not responsible for misuse, negligence, or any accidents, injury or death experienced while using our products. When you purchase any of our items you assume all responsibility and leave 49th State Kennels blameless in the case of any incident. We thank you for your understanding.
